Class Descriptions

Pre Registration is required for all classes. 

 

Meditative Yoga Flow ~ Hayleigh Robertson, CYT

A basic vinyassa class with emphasis on alignment, strengthening and cultivating relaxation through maintaining focused attention to breath. Class will end with meditation or yoga nidra.

Yoga for Good Health ~ Lorna Nafziger, E-RYT500

This class incorporates gentle yet profoundly effective movements that can minimize stress on joints, balance, strengthen spine and calm the nervous system. Therapeutic focus.

Deep Stretch Yoga ~ Lorna Nafziger, E-RYT500

Deep Stretch is an active stretching class that targets primary muscle groups surrounding the hips, hamstrings and upper back. Benefits to the body are flexibility, alignment and joint mobility. This is an accessible class that everyone needs – athletes, advanced practitioners, weekend warriors, first time yoga students and everyone in between. Focused stretching allows muscles to relax and lengthen, which puts less strain on the skeletal system and reduces tension throughout the body. This class is highly recommended for people who do a lot of weight training, endurance sports and repetitive motion. Deep Stretch is a great class for first time yoga students. Neither experience or flexibility are required, just an open mind and a willingness to have fun and try something new.

Gentle Yoga ~ Liz Lear, CYT

Build flexibility, strength and balance through accessible yoga poses and simple, breath-guided flow sequences. Find peace and focus with guided breath practices and meditations. Suitable for all levels.

Yoga Nidra ~ Liz Lear, CYT

Yoga Nidra is a relaxing and rejuvenating guided relaxation practice, also known as yoga sleep. As refreshing as several hours of slumber, yoga nidra calms the chatter of the mind and restores a sense of peace. Emerge from this meditative practice centered and clear. This class is offered monthly.

Guided Breath & Meditation ~ Liz Lear, CYT

This class includes gentle chair stretches, a pranayama practice and a guided meditation. This practice allows for a greater sense of awareness, wisdom, introspection and a deeper sense of relaxation. . .  Think of Pranayma and Meditation as food for the brain that nourishes us to be healthy, vibrant and at ease.

Yoga for Every BODY ~ Shannon Myers

Yoga is a healing, strengthening, calming and empowering practice that offers something for everybody, regardless of age, gender, size, shape etc…Yoga is not about getting into a pose. it’s about being on your mat and noticing your body and breath as you flow through your practice. In this class, you will find modifications for all body types and physical levels. it is a safe and non-jedgement space. All are welcome.

Slow Flow ~ Katelyn Natalie, CYT200

This class places focus on breath, body awareness, alignment and intention. Movements are slower and postures may be held for a longer period of time building strength, stability, flexibility, and deeper awareness. we invite beginners and seasoned practitioners of all shapes, sizes and age groups to join this amazing class.

Let Your Yoga Dance ~ Emily Stauch, CYT

This is a total mind-body experience that will leave you feeling invigorated, relaxed and blissful by the end of class. You will start by stretching and warming up the body, gradually engaging more energetic movement as you continue, until cooling down toward the end and finishing with a guided relaxation / meditation. No previous yoga or dance experience is ever required. This class is wonderful for every single body, all ages and fitness levels.

Meditation & Yoga Nidra ~ Emily Stauch, CYT

In Meditation & Yoga Nidra, we cultivate mindfulness and awareness by getting out of mind and into the body, letting go to the truth of how things really are instead of how the ego/mind perceives them, to come to a place if inner stillness and peace. The class consists of beginning breath work, moving meditation, energy field balancing, mindfulness meditation and/or meditation from other traditions such as guided imagery, mantra meditation, chakra meditation etc. We continue to shift from thinking and doing to feeling and being in a longer meditation in the tradition of yoga nidra (“yogic sleep”). In this deeper meditative experience, we transcend our self-created perceptions and limitations. This class will aid in calming the mind, softening focus, and bringing the participants more in alignment with their true nature, or authentic self.

Tai Chi for Adults ~ Owen Curtner, NASM, Martial Arts

Tai Chi is a graceful form of exercise. It involves a series of movements performed in a slow, focused manner and accompanied by deep breathing. Tai chi helps reduce stress and anxiety, improves and maintains balance, coordination flexibility and strength.
